Dr. Laura C. Brenes is a Board-Certified Internist and Certified Medical Director specializing in post-acute and long-term care medicine. She has 20+ years of combined clinical and administrative experience in outpatient Internal Medicine and Post-acute and Long-term care settings, serving as a physician leader, medical director, and consultant for skilled nursing facilities and medical-legal cases. Her expertise connects clinical realities with clear, defensible medical-legal opinions grounded in evidence, precision, and integrity.
Joseph A. Brenes, MD, ABPLM, WCC
Dr. Joseph A. Brenes is a Wound-care Certified physician with more than 50 years of clinical experience. He has served as Chief Medical Officer for Wound Care Specialists and Medical Director for multiple Connecticut long-term facilities. He is recognized for his depth of knowledge in wound management, long-term care medicine, pressure injuries, and documentation-related standards of care. His detailed, evidence-based approach brings clarity to complex medical-legal evaluations.
